I noticed the bushes were finished on the idler wheel of my 580 C but when I pulled the idler out, I noticed the bolt that is used to compress the spring was broken...All the second hand ones around here are also broken with the fork detached from the spring...will I have to get the broken bolt bored out or can I reassemble it without this?

I dont think it will fall apart if you assembley the parts and get it tight.

Got it assembled and so far so good...put a tack of weld between spring and support to make i5 easy to assemble, then fitted replacement fork and wheel which I got from breakers about 8km away...€120..the old fork had been rubbing against idler wheel so bushes well gone..Got a days work done so pretty pleased...
