The first ECR25D has arrived in the Netherlands.
Here it' s equipped with a Matt Nielen quick coupler and 110 ltr. ditch cleaning bucket. Very nice and tidy machine!

Here a Volvo EW140D equipped with a Indexator RT40B tiltrotator.

Monoboom's on EW140D and EW160D are becoming rare in the Netherlands. The 2-piece boom became more and more the market standard.

Volvo EW160B, EW160C and EW160D. The last one was delivered last winter and in the Neterlands, that means bad, cold & rainy weather.








The white and black boxes on the engine hoods are filter boxes. When a excavator is working on sanitation jobsites, the Dutch legislation demands a good environment for the operator with pressurized cab' s and filtered air.

Here a Volvo EC380D delivered at Orcem Moerdijk, the Netherlands.
It' s a standard machine, which is not very common. Just like in Sweden, a lot of equipment get's a lot options. This excavator is working at a cement plant, stacking up and ripping materials.

Short radius excavator becomes compact demolition tool.



This Volvo ECR145D owned by Eerens Machineverhuur (rental) main task will be working in city' s like Groningen, were demolition jobsites are very small in the older part of the city. The machine is in Volvo colorscheme, but sprayed in 2 component grey and yellow and then sprayed again with a clear coat. Later on, it would not be the first machine for this owner in 2013...

Volvo EW160D for a tree harvesting company, equipped with a long 3.10 mtr. dipperarm and a console under the 2-piece boom. This is done to reach higher into the reach for cutting branches with a special grab.

This excavator is working on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and it will be there working for several years.
They use a lot of conrete on the airport, therefore the contractor ordered a Rammer 1533 hammer. Maybe you will spot the excavator sometime if you visit the Netherlands by plane.

2 Volvo EW140D' s delivered at the same customer. These excavators are equipped with Engcon EC15B tilt rotator and Alliance A390HD tyres.

The 15-tons class wheeled excavators are very populair in the Netherlands.

Spring 2013 a new Volvo EC460CHR was delivered at Eerens Machineverhuur. Just like the ECR145DL, the machine and HR-boom is in Volvo colorscheme, but sprayed in 2 component grey and yellow and then sprayed again with a clear coat.

Among all the options, there' s also a Volvo DeLuxe seat. Maybe you saw it at the Bauma 2013 in the EC160DL of at the upcoming Swecon Dagarna 2013.

Also nice to see so many rotortilts outside of Sweden, but the quick couplers still seems a bit unconventional...

Rototilts are getting more common at the Dutch market, especially in the 14-17 ton class wheeled excavators. The quick coupler is typical Dutch and +/- 98% of the excavators is equiped with this quick coupler. It became a 'standard' in the Netherlands when Verachtert had a big market share and nowadays heverybody hires (or borrows) their buckets, grapples, etc.

That might be the reason, but to me "our" S- and B couplers seems a bit more convenient due to the simple design and benefits like low height and symmetry (for the S couplers).

That's correct Otto.

In the beginning, Åkerman and Atlas sold also their 'own' quick couplers (S-type, SMP). But the Verachtert Connect 'O' Maat-system became really fast the standard. In the Netherlands, al lot of customers buy their attachments by factory' s like Verachtert, Beco, Pladdet and Eurosteel, they all have their own salesmanagers.
