The demolition machine is back from a job site.

Now it's time for some engine repair, and replacing the old cab by a new one.

Is it a brand new cabin or is it a used one that has been repainted?

Quite a lot of money spent in that machine!

Is the new cab bigger, or does it just look like that?

Is it because of safety you guys mount a new cab??

It's a 'new' unused original Åkerman NewComfort cab.
One of reasons they mount a new one, is that the old one could not reach the value' s for overpressure, to much leakage. In the Neherlands we need a pressurized cab with extra filters if (for instance) the excavator is working in area's with asbestos or polluted area's (sanitation).

Aren't the biggest airleaks in the floor area where hoses and wiring pass through and around the pedals?

That' s true and we will 'seal' this, but some parts of the cab were a bit damaged. The door is slightly bended, so we found a almost new cab at Volvo and offered this to the customer.

So, the cab is almost finished.



But were is the valve bank?





The mechanics toke it to the workshop to put new O-rings in it.

Here we are dismantling the cylinder, also to put new seals in it.
