Kemppi EKATIG 160HF

Good day All.

I have a small question in regards to a welding machine Kemppi EKATIG 160HF i have come across and a danish second hand forum.
My question is do the Kemppi EKATIG 160HF have the HF start or what does the HF in the name/ serial discription stand for and do any one known how old the machine can be?. I do believe the machine have been in production for several years but do any one known from which year to which year it have been into production.
And last but not least do any one have expereince with said machine, i do only need same for small personal none commecial welding jobs and therefore i would like to ask if the welding machine would be a good match, or what do people recommend.

I do have 380V connectiong in my small garage and my only "request" for the machine is that it have HF start. What do people think, would the EKATIG 160HF be a match for me or should i look for something els ?

Im not sure but the HF is most likely High Frequency start as you already figured out.

Im cannot tell you much more but there are probably other here who knows more. Check under downloads too if possibly any documentation exists.

I think it could be a good machine if it works and are not to expensive. There are new machines not to expensive today that could work as well. If it is only DC it cannot weld aluminium if you did not think about that already.
