Find som high nickel filler rod and preheat if possible the give it a shot. Also grind and clean cracks if possible.

There should be possible to find a used one too, at least in sweden. How much will it cost to ship that?

What is the price of used one in Sweden? " C series is the same"....
What you mean in High nickel rod? "High quality"

A weld rod made of mostly nickel, it is what usually is used to weld cast iron.

Welding rod for cast iron usually contains alot of nickel = high nickel rod.
However, if it's cast steel it should (as far as I know) weld fine with rods for ordinary mild steel. So, as I said, first figure out what it is, THEN start planning for how to weld it.

I would with high certainty say that it is gray cast iron. Why make anything out of a more expensive material if there is no need?

Anyway, if i remember it right, grinding steel makes yellow straight shooting sparks and grinding cast iron makes white sparks with a more diverse pattern. To be sure you can grind on some parts that you know is steel and cast iron and compare the sparks.

You will have to demount the weight first. Grind out an extremely large V around the crack. Weld with any cast-iron electrode: OK 92.18 for example. Pre-heat 150-300 degrees centigrade and weld away. You usually weld small amounts and hammer the weld but I think as there is no strain I would weld as normal. However this is an extremely expensive method. Cast iron rods cost a fortune. As previously mentioned bolt it together. It works and will be much cheaper. Drill holes and tap the holes for 3/4" thread for example. Bolt together with 12mm steel.
