hello, thank you for the comments, the view is the same and even better from my house, you can see right over the ocean to aalesund city. The machine will be in very good shape when its finished. i hope i can use it too the summer.

Hello everybody!! Now i have suddenly get my machine-house back from the man who have done sand-blasting and painting, i will take a picture. now i want to know where i can find new windows to the house? sombody from norway who maybe have somthing used?

I have recently started renovating a Hymac 580BT myself.
My machine does also have a 24V system with two batteries in serial.
I was wondering what kind of lock you have used on your cabin door?
I suppose you have also converted from a sliding door?

Hello, the project is going good. I have used a universal-lock, i bougt it from wist last og buss in ålesund. My machine didnt have sliding door, maybe it was that from the beginning but not when i bought it. I will like to hear about your project

Hei, where do you live in Norway ? ( if you can see Ålesund from your house )

I live about 30km north of Bergen, so I don't see Ålesund from my house

By the way, do you know what kind of engine you have in your Hymac?
I need to replace my startmotor, but it seems its some kind of Ford engine in mine, with 24V battery pack and an 12V starter. Must have been replaced at some point earlier...

OK I misunderstood, I thought you were near Ålesund. So 30km N of Bergen are you near Knarvik then ?
I have been working in Mongstad for the 14 months up to Christmas, may go back there again ( not sure yet )

Yupp, between Knarvik and Mongstad, Radøy to be more exact.

I came through Radøy just once on the bus from Maestervik to Knarvik / Bergen. How far have you come with your hymac restoration ? did you ever get all the parts you needed ?
I ordered a lot of parts from a Hymac dealer in the Uk and went over and collected them, the problem is it's all heavy stuff, I came back to bergen with 67kg of spares in november.
I am trying to get a set of 6 diesel injector pipes, otherwise I buy hoses and clips etc from Tess.
Luckily the machine ( my son bought and then left it for me to restore ) is complete and was running, the metal is good, I have taken off as many parts as I can and cleaned them up and repainted them ready to re-install.
I will be cleaning out the Hyd' oil tank when I get back home ( I am now working in Tjeldbergodden ) and re paint the radiator and oil cooler which I took off, just hope the weather is better home.

Among the spares I brought back in november was a spare starter motor ( 20kg ) but I have a Perkins engine so it wont fit your Ford. there are a few places in Norway one is in Skodje, the other in Gudbransdalen, I look up the names fpor you
