Found another hymac 580

Hello everyone!

Found this beuty in the deep swedish forest yesterday. The machine got the more modern undekarrige then i got,

As u can see on the pictures there are no engine where it should be one...

So, Can i take these undercarrige and put under my "older?" Hymac 580b?

Hi Orwak

Yes I believe you could swap undercarriages with your 580B after all a 580BT is a 580B with 580C type undercarriage.
That being said looking at the first picture it would seam that this machines undercarriage has also seen better days, well certainly the tracks anyway.
Might prove a source of good spare parts though.

maybe this undercarrige has seen better days, but they have to be better then they i got on my machine now:)

Do you think its easyer to get spareparts to this "newer" crawlers?

Hi Orwak,

I think it would be a great idea to swap your undercarrige for the more modern triple grouser style track undercarrige

Errr it may be easier to fit your 580B engine into the 580BT?
Do hate to point out the blatently obvious but its a lot easier to swap the motor that strip two machines to switch undercarriages
or is that too easy

yes, I start to realise that that would be easyier... Lift it here at home might be a bit dangerous.. And after a closer consideration the bt machine is in better condition than mine..

So now i just have to wait for the owner to decide if its to sale or not and to the right price ofcourse:D
