I sent him a Text message to his mobile earlier this evening, he was just off out to the pub for a few beers so we may have to wait till tomorrow for some answers.

He told me that it could be an Italian built FAI Machine which may have been badged as Hymac.

Now when I read this something came to my mind.. On the door to the cab is a sign with some text xxxxxx.s.p.a

I´snt "s.p.a" Italian for the swedish "AB" or English "Ltd"

I´ll try to check out the identificationsigns tomorrow, then we will probably have some anserws to this mystery...

It probably got a little sloppy and then they welded it instead of fixing the problem the right way. It is a real shame that such heathens still are walking the streets!

Yes a very interesting machine you have there Antevante, it is certainly a Hymac but not a Hymac manufactured in the UK.
I would expect that this was from the "Brown" era when Hymac were in their last days and trying to reduce manufacturing costs. They had machines manufactured in Italy by FAI and badged as Hymac, they also had some machines made in Russia.
The colour scheme is very similar to Hymacs from the Brown ownership and this leads me to believe that this machine is from that time period, therefore my guess is that this machine was manufactured between 1990-1994.
The design features are totally different than anything Hymac made, the back of this machine looks very much like an Akerman so the machine may have been manufactured in Sweden?
I have not followed your link to the blocket site yet but I have only ever come across one other 586s and I'm sure that was on a Swedish site.
Your best hope for details would be the dealer plate in the cab, perhaps this company still exists but deals in other machines.
I will try and e-mail Richard Gould of Hymac a picture of your machine and ask him to forward details to me.

For some reason I hadn't seen the badge pictures you have posted, now I can tell you that Cosmotor is the machine manufacturer, whether they were a part of FAI or not I don't know?
But FAI were also an Italian manufacturer that made machines for Hymac, I do know that FAI are now owned by Komatsu perhaps Cosmotor are aswell?
I would search the net for links to Cosmotor because they are the manufacturer and would be able to help you with parts.

Jeremy/ Many intresting facts there. Thanks a lot for your anserw.

I must say that this is not the original colour, inside the back of the machine its still "Hymac-green". About the age I asked my father and he sais we bough the Hymac in 1988! Then is was alredy repainted... The machine was "used" when they bougth it so my fathers guess is in 75-77 maybee. I will serch for some papers on the machine mich I know I have seen here somewere around. Maybee is there more "typeplates in the machine, I will check that i the weekend..

Robban/ Thats true.. But notice that we used the machine pretty much every year since 1988.. And we have never repaird the boom. So i cant be that bad after all. But have have broken some other things instead:)

I have done A google search for cosmoter, and I found this.. COSMOTER BAT 12RS

The chassie looks pretty much the same, and the boom is very similar.. It also got this strange two-pice boom. But this one is adjustable..

Well your machine age from what you have told me, I revise my estimate that the machine was manufactured around 1984 at the very earliest. I say this because Hymac still manufactured their own wheeled machines up until around this time, so there's no way your machine is as old as 1977 :!:

Jeremy/ Ok:) Tricky story the company got i must say... Im ot seraching for any parts rigth now, but some day i will do that probalby. The deutzmotor is very common here and part for thwe motor is no problem. But thanks a lot for your help!

Conny/ Ja ser där ja, verkar vara ett mindre aggregat på den. Även en annan hytt.. En liiten fråga bara, vet du om de är omlackad? Lite nyfiken på om de sålts även som gula... Verkar ju troligt då jag nu sett tre i samma färgsättning i gul svart. Dock ingen som varit Hymac grön som min..

The return of the Hymac...

Gjorde en fuling och gick förbi den lilla kabelbranden å startade direkt på startmotorn:) Fantastisk motor som startar så sjukt lätt! 641an fick agera starthjälp...

Ryka ska det ju göra oxå:)
