Restoration T 430 (var: behöver bromshjälp BM 430)

My T430 needs some repair, brakes function very bad, i took of the right wheel and wing.
i'm gonna take of the right brake and see whats up?
(should be nice to have a details picture about the brake function)

That 430 seems to be in quite good condition!
I can´t help you with your brakes but I´m sure someone else can. I´ll change the subject slightly to get more members interested.

The brake system is open now, 2 of 3 springs are broken
(BTW the brake plates just look like regular clutch plates )
I gues that the dust inside brakehousing is asbestos from the plates?
(dangerous cancerdust?)

Did Volvo have a partscatalog with ordering numbers?
I'm asking this because I will need more parts in future.

BMs are good tractors but we must remember that they were built in small series and that it is more than 20 years ago the last VBM was built. This equals a rather limitied interest to keep or reproduce spareparts for them.

Yes those are the needed springs.
7 euro a piece at the volvo/valmet-valtra dealer workshop.
I have bought them there today.

Now i''m looking at http://www.Kramp.com. there they cost les then 1 euro a piece
(I have been to quickly with buying)

New exhaust

Repainted the front grills and volvo emblem,
and give 1 headlight a new chromefoly, and gleu the lenses on the reflectors (they did fall off when i removed them for the paintjob)

After long time polishing with thinner on the decals
I got them clean (and i was almost high snif)

I bought a pair sidewindows and they are fitted now.


Now i'm looking for some other parts (used in good condition or new)

front marker lights (only used in norway?)


the leftside mirror holder


the window behind the seat


Anyone a good tip purchase those parts and where to buy a decalset?
