Hi Gute and the rest of you guys .... first notification in ages ... and have to apologise for not updating my
thread ... been real busy and my net has not been good ... have had 9 engineers out to us in the last few weeks ... another one booked for the 13th ... a BB specialist .... hope he's better than the last one
Wales has been in a 'firebreak'
lock down for almost two weeks ... finishes tomorrow, just as england is going into a month long lock down ... trouble is too many idiots spend their time seeing how far they can push instead of complying ... Merthyr about 15 miles away has the highest rate in the UK ... my area of Monmouthshire is one of the lowest ...... keeping the bas**ds from merthyr out is a big problem
Thought Clara might've had it Monday night .... very high
temperature .. got tested Tuesday ... -ve result wed.s
she spent over an hour sat on my lap monday evening, wrapped in a blanket as she was 'cold' even though the house was 18C.
we continue to have her a few times a week, after school, as her mum teaches and doesn't get home 'til gone 5 a few times a week so we get her from school at 3pm ....... it's 'russian roulette' to be honest ... can't stop 'life/living' ... just take as many precautions as we can ... but with schools continuing to be open there is no choice ..... Where her mum teaches has two kids and 5 staff off, witha +ve test .... but all the +ve staff are from out of area ... all from areas locked down before the national (Wales) firebreak lock down came into force ..... yet they still travel to work ( and spread this shit about!!!!!!!!
TV announced tonight the furlough scheme (paying 80% of wages to those off/unable to work) will continue until March 2021
infection and death rates continue to rise daily again .... government are desperately trying to prevent the health services from being over whelmed ... italian guy on another forum says they're in total shit again with another month long lock down, same as the english one, but their gov. is not providing the same sort of back up that the UK Gov. is to UK residents.
Bank of england announced £150M cash injection to the economy today .... drop in the ocean ...... generations to come are going to pay for this.
All borders should be shut everywhere - no travel for a minimum month - and all countries locked down to get the infection rates down. then keep borders closed until a country at a time can get clear .... then maintain serious travel restrictions and border controls for months .... I do not think we will ever eradicate this unless some serious travel controls are rigidly imposed and enforced. New zealand almost achieved it .... until 3 brits went there for a wedding - two infected and kicked it all off again
how are things in your country????
