... so it's a rare occurrence, but does mean that when/if you ask to be seen urgently, they do tend to take notice and fit you in :thummar:

IIRC the last time I was there was about 3 years ago, to ask for some 'epi-pens', when Pam started to do my treatments, instead of the nurses, who used to visit once a fortnight to do it ...... they always had a full anaphylactic kit with them, .....in case :uupps:

and recomended we get a few pens for stock .... just in case :vissla:

But know what you mean .... she's certainly 'better looking' than the previous ....... guy :grin:

.... hardware malfunction seems to have passed and the old bod is behaving as it should (for me anyway - and that'll do). :thummar:

Just started mowing the grass, last Sunday, when the kids made an unscheduled arrival with the lil' un and two vehicles .... on their way to great grand dad's for lunch and the window on their fiesta was having a moment ... fully open !! :sad:

once I'd found all the hidden screws and concealed fixings ...... to get the door card off ... wasn't too bad .. :thumme:

Snapped/sheared plastic spline drive cog coming out the motor, but with the cable window regulator on this, it's also what keeps the damned thing up, as well as getting it there to start with. :vissla:

... Job for the JB Weld (Devcon in a tube) ... stripped it off, stuck it and left it to cook under a halogen bench lamp :smile:

.... got back to the car, only to find the bloody wind had slammed the door .....on the **@$!&* door release, dangling from the door and snapped the cable retaining clip .... :aaargh:

got the motor back in after an hours cooking, with the window firmly in the up and closed position :thumme:

..... and disconnected the motor :grin:

.. didn't trust the ol' JB that much :huh:

..... was a very small piece of plastic to glue together, with a huge amount of torque being exerted upon it. :uupps:

then took me longer to cobble the release cable back in and keep it there, than the rest of it all combined !! :sad:

new motor will be here in the a.m. ...... still trying to find a clip !!!! :sad:

Monday / Tuesday were Clara-fied, so not a lot got did in my 'camp' ..... she's learnt to climb and views everything as a challenge to be conquered :uupps:

.... daren't turn yer back on her as she's still developing and honing her skills in that dept.!! :vissla:

Everything here is one big challenge !! :uupps:

Wednesday dawned dry, bright and very pleasant .... First thing on the agenda was level and tidy the bottom of me drainage channel in the middle of the crazy paved area :thumme:

.... under water, damned near side on :sad:

and slot the arisings in't dumper, for a trip up the field!! :smile:

I'll see what it's like once the water level's disappeared, but having settled to clarity, it didn't look too bad :thumme:

.... this morning. :grin:

20 T of clean 40mm limestone and 40 T of planings ordered and arrival is imminent (hopefully)!!

Topped up the first load with what was hanging about in the corner, plus another half load to clear that, before tidying the edge of the ramp a bit and finding the latest 'buried item' ........

.......... before dropping the VA-r off, in favor of my favorite 3 footer :thummar:

and set about the top of the ramp, where I'd had to leave off when it pee-ed down, after the last muck moving session. :sad:

The carpet wasn't the only find for the day and progress was painfully slow, sorting all manner of crap and a.n.other 'mother lode' of concrete blockwork. :sad:

Only managed a grand total of four dismally slow, hard won loads to tip. :driver:

On the 'up side', I did get a hell of a lot of crushed blockwork to spread about .... :grin:

..having given it all the back of the bucket's edge to crush it all down to crumbs, atop of me exposed 'mutha of a boulder' and spread it about . :thummar:

the top is now all one continuous level (least the bit that got attacked last is) and tomorrow (hopefully-weather permitting) it's going down another 15"-ish to the top of the rock layer, :thumme:

from the ramp back, this time, to start with at least, 'til I get well around the corner and run out of standing room, for the 'Drema to sit on. :sad:

Sky is not looking quite so clever tonight, but now't forecast in the way of precipitation..... hope not.....got that bloody carpet spread out drying :vissla:

.... ready for the burning bin, once it's dry enough ...... and dark !! :grin:

If you add those two pictures and introduce Clara to amusement park theme I see a great potential. Fix the swing in the Dremas boom and you will be the worlds greatest grand-dad. :mrgreen:

Sunday ..... was as usual a 'quiet day' ..... other than getting all the bloody mowing done and half a day on't strimmer too, sorting some edges that haven't been massacred yet this season. :grin:

Pam's Birthday tuesday, so Monday had already been commandeered as a 'day out' shopping/whatever, but ended up as a day at the coast with her daughter, SIL and Clara ..... :grin:

Clara day tuesday, as usual .... both totally wrecked Tuesday morning .... been 30+C here the last few days and having been woken by Pam at 3 a.m. :eek:

had just about gotten back to sleep by 4 when the dawn chorus kicked off, :aaargh:

with Vicki's shop's alarm system's auto-dial-er informing me of an issue with one of its sensors ..... :aaargh:

spoke to her, who was 'en route' to reset the bloody thing and asked her to let me know all was alright, which she diligently did .... :sad:

'bout 5 a.m., just as I was dropping off again .. :sad:

early to my 'pit' tuesday night, but still 26C and real sticky :huh:

.... fan on overtime all night as it has been for several nights.

Lil' 'un was her usual busy self all day .....

No chance of getting back up on there, for a while, so decided, having given it some thought, to shift JakieB out of his parking spot ...
... and sub. humper-dumper in the spot, which'd free up some room for a large pile of stone/rubble. :thumme:

easiest solution was to sling Humper and pick him into spot, having turned him around, for a better fit ..... :vissla:

a judicious amount of pressure on said materials, between the back of the edge and the anvil and just roll it back and fore a bit and it all just 'dissolves' into crush. :cool:

shifted the resultant pile out the way, for now........ :vissla:

three and a half hours, several screws, some of the fiddliest bits of metal in christendom,
me jeweler's screw drivers, fine tip pliers and several pairs of surgical forceps later and said new part was installed, with some key hole surgery
What a bloody contraption to work on !!!! the bit I had to replace was right in the middle of all that lot!!!!! :aaargh:

It got a test drive when Vicki came for Clara this afternoon and after a minor adjustment .... :cool:

said new part had a slotted mount hole and I'd no idea WTF the right position was, as what came out had the crucial 'datum point' missing .... literally!! , :sad:
