Hi,

I've seen most of here are Swedish, but i tought i'll ask help from here too.

Does anyone have any info about FMV 1800 crane? I've bought one old crane, it has some problems with control valves (and some missing parts too) and im searching parts list for that.

Does anyone have this partlist, or name of company /person that could help me with that?

Thanks,

At the moment im looking info about the control valves and spare parts for that.
I assume FMV were using some common manufacturer hydraulic valves, so maybe there are some parts and gasgets available.

That datasheed you've linked, seems to be dated 1978 so i assume these models were made late 70s to early 80s, maybe even late 80s.
It seems to be nice and tiny for small tractors that were mostly used around that time.
Hydraulic pump capasity need seems to be little too (15-20l/min) which also points to that age (my Ford 3000 -68 has around 18l/min flowrate).
Another reason for small need is the size of crane.

This crane i bought, is welded to small truck bed, so all attachment points are removed. Also support legs are removed.
Im trying to find good pictures to see how things have been when its been new, and also figuring out how to remake them today (maybe wiser than they were then).

Hello!
About the valves. Can you take some cliseup photos of te valveboard? I guess there will be a lable at either end piece.

Here are some pics that seller sent me. At this point i dont have the crane at my yard yet, transport company will deliver it some day soon (i hope :D ).

I've got couple pics about the valves. I asked seller to see if there is any print / text on the model label. In pic we can see he has scracthed scrab out of it to see if there is text, but
as he didnt notice anything and didnt clean it more I assume there werent text left anymore.

On Ebay, these new 4- spool hydraulic valves doesnt cost much, like 150€ (around 1500Kr) including delivery.
These new valves also has this "Open center system", so all the time hydraulic fluid flows from pump to tank and it only uses small control pressure.
Only when needed, it takes more pressure from main line. Not sure does this old, original valve has the same system.

My Ford 5610 has around 70l/min hydraulic flow, so i assume it will need this open pump-to-tank line that oil wont warm too much.
Gladly I have this Deluxe valves on Ford, so i can change flow rate from switch, but not sure is this slower flowrate enough.

Yea, 5 spools is correct

The hydralik valve you've got is a 5 spool Monsun Tison HV07, almost every FMV crane used these valves at that time.
I'm 99% sure it's made for open center system, other systems were more expensive.
Remember that the tractors hydralik flow is ratad at max rpm, so at lower motorspeed it probably would work just fine

Yes it is most likely open center in that valve package. In rare cases it might been converted to closed center. (ie used with a John Deere tractor) in that case it is easy to convert it back by removing a plug inside the outlet port.
As you se there is a manufacturer lable on the first picture. Unreadable att this picture.

OpenCenter is probably the worlds most common type of valve because it is cheap and simple and works with a simple fixed displacement pump, like a gear pump.

However, a really cheap valve from E-bay will not have shock valves to protect the crane structure against overload. The fine control of such a valve may also be not so good because of poor design of metering notches in valve spools.
