Hi all, i'm Selmir from Bosnia. I'm 27 years old, mechanical engineer and since few days master of science. I hava an idea about presentig some various projects i've made in last few years in this topic.

My most recent project is MF14 baler.

Few weeks ago i bought MF 14 medium pressure baler in relativly bad condition (my sister bought it in Germany and sent it by a truck to me in Bosnia). Baler was parked for 10 years so there was a lot of dust, junk and rust to clean.

First i had to wash it with Kaercher miniwash (130bar pressure, 2kW engine), it's really incredible how much dirt was in there. I found like 2kg of nuts, believe that whole colony of rats or squirrels lived inside it.

Next i had to dismantle everything i could in order to clean it with angle grinder.

In left cordbox corosy made some serious damage, so i had to replace some parts. I cut out all damaged places and replaced it with 1mm plate.

After some serious cleaning with grinder, i started with painting with speciall anti-corosy paint. It's not very nice, but it stops corosy.

All gears and chain are carefully cleand and later covered with some grease. I checked oil level in gearbox, there's enough oil inside (SAE 90).

I painted everything,really everything in order to protect the baler from coroding. Unfortunately i'll have to keep it outside (covered with some plastic). After that, i mounted all parts together, replaced some pins and screws, had to do some welding.

In the end, i painted all visible parts with red paint, i't didn't end up quite well (i had to do all the painting by hand with brush).

Anyhow, it looks much better and it's protected. Now i have to solve problem with left knoter, it forms the knot but won't release it. Have no idea how to fix it, but i'll do my best :)

One of my other projects was a plough wheel. I bought Rabe 2x12" plough but somebody stole my original whee. Since it's a quite big and heavy plough, i had to figure out how to build stabile from various junk parts.

First i found some very interesting piece of metal. These metal rods were originaly designed to be used as a coupling between two rails. It's very stabile and quite heavy. Next i found a complete frong bearing from some wrecked Seat and decided to use it in my project.

Few months ago my father complained that brakes on our IMT 539 (licenced copy of Massey Ferguson 135, built in Belgrade/Serbia) are very weak, so i decidet to take them apart and see what's the problem. First i had to stabilize tractor and remove wheels.

After removing the drum, i noticed that brake pads were very thin, so we decided to go to special shop where they can remove old pads and mount new ones.

New pads cost some 25 euro, after mounting everything together i had to set up brakes and tractor brakes almost like a car and it's ceratinly much safer to work with.

Here you can se how i "helped" my IMT 539 to carry some heavy loads (especially large Fahr KM24 mower).

First I made construction to be attached on a tractor, then two pieces of a veeery strong chain and after some welding, grinding and drilling you get this:

It's like 650kg heavy and it working width is 190cm.

One of my biggest projects, a 2.5 field roller (i use it to plain the ground after sowing korn and other plants).

I used bearings from some small trailer I found on a junkyard

In order to bind the bearing housing and a pipe i used VW Golf 2 steel wheels

I used 2.5m long pipe with 35cm diameter

Its 400kg heavy and runs great.

Last year i found out that front side of my tractor trailer i damaged by corosion, so i cut out all the damaged material, cleand all the rust and placed new material (25x25mm L-profile).

After inspecting lift levers on my IMT 539 i noticed that they are a bit damaged in a main conection hole, so i decided to fix that and to make them a bit stronger. Here you can se how i did that.

I welded 16x16mm profile on both sides and also fixed the hole (i welded some material inside the hole and the drilled her on the right dimension, unfortunately no picture of that detail).

Nice projects and very interesting to see machinery from other parts of Europe. :buga: That size of machinery is what I used to drive in the beginning of 1980... only 6-7 years old working on a ~30 ha farm. :smile: Now the farm and machinery is a "little" bit bigger...
Här ska inte stå en massa gammalt skit när kronofogden kommer! ... "Stort är bra, större är bättre och för stort är precis lagomt" :mrgreen:

Few months ago i bought Hurlimann H-360 4wd tractor (here you can see all the data http://www.konedata.net/Traktorit/Hurlimann360.htm), from 1985. Since he's going to do only heavy jobs (ploughing, mowing, various soil prepraration jobs...) i had an idea to make front weight. I had no money to buy used weights (they're very expensive, lik 2-3 euro per 1kg) i decided to make it from concrete. Since concrete is not very stable when under vibrations i had to make special construction - something like i very stable and heavy metal box. Here you can see a lot of pictures that show the entire construction proces. Here's material and prices list:

1. Metal from scrapyard 20 Euro
2. Welding material 5 euro
3. Grinder disks 5 euro
4. Cement (25kg) 5 euro

Complete construction costs are 35-40 euro, i worked 4 days all day long.I had to do a very lot of grinding and material preparation since i decided to make quite complicated frame. It was not easy to do, but it ended up very nice and, most important,. stabile. I've done everything all by myself .Weight is like 170-180kg heavy and i believe it is going to be very useful in ploughing, since it is going to raise front wheels traction. All my fields are on hills so it's not easy to do the ploughing if when i'm going uphill.
